Study Facilities and Support
Each trainee will be loaned a laptop or netbook for use throughout the duration of the course. The SCITT offers access to on-line resources, discussion groups and on-line communities, via Broadband technology. Links to websites containing the latest research and inspection evidence will also be available through this technology.
In addition the SCITT will provide its own library of up to date resources, ensuring this includes the most recent and relevant texts to support the professional development of primary ITT trainees. Resources from this library will be available for loan to all trainees.
The SCITT is currently (October 2011) negotiating with local universities for students to be registered with a local University and studying for a full PGCE in the year starting September 2012. As such, all trainees are expected to have access to a wide range of study support materials, including electronic journals and books, through membership of the University accrediting the PGCE award.
