Have you got something special?
Do you have the communication skills to interact with colleagues, parents and children? Are you able to understand children to bring out their full potential? About the course: Access and travel
Disability access: The training takes place within a range of primary schools that are all seeking to maximise access for people with disabilities and meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act. The SCITT is very willing to make reasonable adjustments to meet the needs of people with disabilities. If any prospective applicants have questions with regard to special needs please do not hesitate to contact the SCITT directly.
Public transport and travel: Training takes place in various locations in and around Leicester City. Public transport by bus and train is generally good. Trainees must, however, be prepared to travel to different locations in various parts of Leicester City and its outskirts. Trainees must also make their own arrangements to arrive in good time for all training events organised.
On school based learning days and during teaching practices trainees will need to be prepared to travel across the City to arrive in good time to prepare classrooms and resources for teaching before the start of the school day. Trainees must also attend staff meetings and planning meetings at the end of the school day.
Child care facilities: Unfortunately the SCITT has no child care facilities.
